How It Works

Fair Value Gaps and Order Blocks detected on every bar

FVG + OB Hunter scans for the 3-candle imbalance every bar. The moment one forms, the zone appears as a semi-transparent box. At the same detection bar, the indicator scans back for the last opposing candle — that becomes the Order Block. Both appear instantly, before price returns.

Every zone is graded immediately — A, B, or C

The grading formula is zone_size ÷ ATR(14). A Grade A zone (ratio ≥ 1.0) spans at least one full ATR — a genuine institutional imbalance backed by meaningful volume at speed. Grade C is noise. This filter runs automatically — you never need to calculate it manually.

Zones extend live — table ranks them — alerts fire

Each zone extends forward every bar. The nearest-zones table shows which FVG or OB is closest to current price, its grade, and its distance % — updated live. When price enters a zone, the "FVG Entered" alert fires immediately. When price closes through a zone, it removes itself. Same-bar mitigation handled correctly. Built on PineScript v6.

Who is this for?↓

Traders who use Smart Money Concepts (SMC), ICT methodology, or any strategy that uses Fair Value Gaps and Order Blocks as entry or exit points. It works on crypto, forex, stocks, and indices — any asset on TradingView, any timeframe.

Do I need a paid TradingView plan?↓

No. FVG + OB Hunter works on all TradingView plans, including the free plan. Invite-only scripts don't count against your indicator limit.

What does the zone grading tell me?↓

Zone grade = zone size ÷ ATR(14). Grade A (≥ 1× ATR) means the zone spans at least one full Average True Range — a significant imbalance backed by real institutional volume. Grade B is moderate. Grade C is minor noise. Focus on Grade A zones, especially when they coincide with an Order Block at the same price level.

Does the indicator repaint?↓

No. Zones are drawn when detected and do not shift or repaint on historical bars. The "FVG Entered" alert fires in real time when price touches a live zone — not retroactively. Grade labels appear at the detection bar and stay fixed.
